I have just read your book and found it very inspiring. As a “want-to-be” brazilian entrepreneur, your words revealed some truths I already knew, some I didn’t admit and others that I was not aware of. Thanks. Henrique S.G.Costa.
Thanks my friend your book 10 unwealthy habits was really soul searching. iIthink everyone should read your book and take a good look at themselves. Enjoy and thanks again. Ricardo Sealy.
Tony Rodrigues.
A lot of what you say in your Unwealthy habits resonates with my personal worldview. I especially liked the part about “complainers”. Nicely done. Ray Podder.
It’s a great reminder that how we think and deal with money on a mostly unconscious level affects our success with wealth. I would not have described myself as being greedy but Alicia’s description made me realize that by focusing on what was going out I had a general sense of fear about never having enough and thereby undervaluing myself as well as others.?Unwealthy Habits is a fabulous tool! Castillo discusses the key habits which perpetuate a lack of wealth. She tells the reader about the vaccines that we can use to eradicate these dirty habits from our lives. Castillo identifies the problem and then gives us the answers. This is powerful stuff, should we decide to actually apply these lessons. We know that our financial state, career and/or amount of debt that we carry are outside factors which can influence our self-esteem. It helps mend any financial influencers which affect our self-esteem in a neat, clear way in language that we can use and understand. Elizabeth Johnson
I loved Alicia Castillo’s refreshing outlook on money and what wealth really means. It made me laugh to see myself in some of the bad habit lists. I was able to see what I was doing and my attitude from a different perspective. The first bad habit to go is “penny wise, pound foolish.” One of the more important points for me reminds us to be grateful, something a lot of people, including myself, lose track of. I find the 8 step plan to change unwealthy habits to be really helpful. Kathy
WOW–! This is powerful stuff! My life may never be the same again- Now that I am aware of these habits, I believe they can make a HUGE difference in my life! These guidelines may just be the key I have been looking for all my life. I am so much closer to happiness and wealth now that I have this information. IT MAKES SENSE! Kristen
Nice topic – respect !
Youve got it in one. Couldnt have put it betetr.
Excellent subject I could not of thougth off that !
I am learning so much about the wonderful “vaccines” you talk about, especially being self-aware and finding inner joy and I have to say I’m hooked. This is incredible because it totally mirrors my life. This is probably the first time that I have ever seen anything that has helped me in a real and tangible way. The Ten Unwealthy Habits is ahead of its time. Everyone simply MUST have a copy of this!
Looking forward to reading more from you. Many thanks for this genius piece of work!
Alicia, I like your book because you are so perceptive. It’s like you know me! You don’t just give some vague tips or dodgy advice or promise something in some distant future. You actually deliver something very valuable. And I truly appreciate that very much. I will gladly recommend your book to all my friends.
I’m a university student counselor and I am learning so much from you. I only wish I had found your book sooner. I look forward to helping students with their “issues” using your principles and techniques.
I don’t even know where to start. It is so amazingly simple that it makes absolutely perfect sense. It is laser-focused to help people overcome unproductive habits in fresh and creative ways. Easy
I wish I could have read this book years ago, but it has just become available. It contains practical and timely advice that’s simple to put into practice but which can have profound effects. If you want affirmations, go elsewhere. But if you just want to know about ways to accumulate and manage the wealth that is your birthright, read this book.
This amazing book gives a very “common sense” way to discover some “unwealthy” habits that are stopping the road to a wealthy life.
The treatment of the examples through these fictitious characters helps us to portray ourselves in our habits and, through analysis of the examples, to have a better understanding of the problem. But the most interesting part of Alicia’s book is probably the recommended “vaccine” for each habit. The guide offered by the book provides a way to hone in and solve our sometimes undiscovered habits.
Finally, the system to change these inconvenient habits is brilliant. This is a tool that we can apply in our daily activities in a simple and subliminal way.
Thanks Alicia for this useful tool for our lives!
The 10 Unwealthy Habits will make you think. Make you think about why you are unwealthy. It made me think, and figure out that I am working too hard and need to make room in my life for more wealth! Not the law of attraction style wealth but a different wealth that you will be surprised will start showing up in your life after just reading it. It did in mine! A good read and well worth the price.
It’s been years since I have added any reviews here on Amazon, but this book and its companion (another book by the author) have really compelled me to add my thoughts here. As a small business owner, it is often too easy to get caught up in senseless pursuits for unneeded things. This book helps you realize what your focuses should be, but it isn’t particularly “preachy” while delivering that advice. It’s a good guide for those of starting off and those of us who have been around for a while. I’d be surprised if you couldn’t find yourself described in these pages if you read them …
Thank you, Ms. Castillo Holley for such an important and valuable addition to my library. I will need to read it every 18 months or so, just as a refresher course.
I read this book and I think it is a great self help book. It is also a quick read. Readers can easily grasp the author’s focal points and apply them to their own lives while trying to obtain a new perspective on changing habits from negative to positive.
This is a great little book for people starting out in business. And a great reminder
for so many who have tried many times to achieve abundance and came up short. I enjoyed the unique approach of how these unwealthy habits play a key role in creating a reality of a lack of success. It’s not just about knowing what to do, but to be very aware of what we should not do, and how we can get stuck. There are hundreds of books on what to do, but we all need a reminder of what oftens prevents us from achieving our goal.
